A Robot Destroyer and Maker.
I am a Ph.D. student at the THU Soft Robotics Lab, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University, advised by Prof. Huichan Zhao. I work on soft and musculoskeletal robotics — intelligent control for artificial muscles, and bio-inspired design.
Ph.D. Student, Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University.
Advised by Prof. Huichan Zhao at the THU Soft Robotics Lab.
B.Eng., Mechanics & Aerospace Engineering, Xingjian College, Tsinghua University.
GPA 3.85 / 4.00, ranked 4 / 30 in the major, with 24 courses receiving A or A+.
Do Something Great.
I will present our RA-L paper Architected Vacuum Driven Origami Structures via Direct Ink Writing of RTV Silicone at ICRA 2026 in Vienna, Austria.
Seesoil: Mitigating Negative Emotions through a Desktop Robot for Oil Splash Incidents is accepted to the HRI 2026 Student Design Challenge — see you in Edinburgh this March!
Started my Ph.D. at the THU Soft Robotics Lab, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University, advised by Prof. Huichan Zhao.
Graduated from Xingjian College, Tsinghua University, and received the Excellent Graduate honor.
Spent a wonderful summer research internship at the Bio-inspired Robotics and Design Lab, SUTD, advised by Prof. Pablo Valdivia y Alvarado.
My first paper, Enhancing Daily Life through an Interactive Desktop Robotics System, was accepted to CICAI 2023, and its demo won the Best Demo Award.

My aspiration is to combine artificial muscle structures with dynamic simulators to build intelligent robots that collaborate naturally with humans. I am currently exploring modeling and control questions for soft robotic systems driven by artificial muscles, and I am passionate about bringing soft robotics into diverse practical scenarios.
I started research in my sophomore year at the DISCOVER Lab, advised by Prof. Guyue Zhou, where I helped build an interactive desktop robotics system — the work behind my first publication. I joined the THU Soft Robotics Lab in October 2023, advised by Prof. Huichan Zhao, working on the design and robust real-time control of pneumatic artificial muscles. In the summer of 2024, I visited the Bio-inspired Robotics and Design Lab at SUTD, working with Prof. Pablo Valdivia y Alvarado on direct ink writing of architected soft origami structures.

Besides robotics, I am deeply devoted to music and sports — they are the sources of my energy.
I serve as the Principal Clarinet player in the Tsinghua University Symphony Orchestra (TUSO). Music allows me to express emotions that equations and code cannot capture. More performances live on TUSO’s Bilibili space.
I played for the Xingjian College soccer team during my undergraduate years, and now continue with the Soccer Team of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. I love the adrenaline of competitive sports and the bond built with teammates on the pitch.
